Full-Time Accounting/Write-Up Specialist $45-$52K


Job Description

We are conducting a search for an Accounting Specialist to join the team of one of the Tampa Bay area leading CPA firms. Our client is located in St. Petersburg and has a fast growing write-up group which has created the need for a newly created Accounting Specialist position.

The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist are:

Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Prepares accounting workpapers, including trial balances, depreciation schedules and debt amortization schedules
Performs bookkeeping and payroll services for clients and internal companies
Prepares sales and payroll tax returns
Prepares other accounting forms as assigned
Proofreads reports and correspondence
Gains expertise in all accounting software programs
Gains a working knowledge of other firm technology and software
Becomes familiar with firm policies and procedures
Prepares engagement correspondence
Assists administrative assistant with answering phones and other office duties
Performs other duties as assigned from by the Office Manager, firm’s partners or professional staff

Skills Required:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Complete knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Word and Office.
Good research and problem solving skills
